i dont think the hot rails neck and cool rails bridge are the same. i have a hr neck in the bridge and its darker and middier than a cr bridge, though i havent tried them in the same guitar

Yeah, HR & CR are pretty different. The extra mids and bass in the HR neck makes it useful for jazzy stuff I play.

Finally got around to putting this together!! I’m gonna have a pro set it up this weekend and then we’ll plug her in for the true test… but I’m so excited to have her finally out together, I couldn’t resist sharing a picture Thanks so much again to everyone for your help!!

Thanks all! The pickguard is a piece of aluminum a friend cut for me with a CNC machine, spray-painted with copper metallic paint, and then hand painted (by my mom) with acrylic to give it that aged, patina effect... I wound up taking it to an auto-body shop and having them spray it with a couple coats of clear to seal it, it's got a great glossy texture now that should hold up really well under playing!

Pickguard painted by mom, dad helped with all the wiring and assembly... it's a family affair
