Wiring diagram needed (quick and easy one)

Re: Wiring diagram needed (quick and easy one)

I edited the post above, let me try to sum it up:
Existing volume = transformed into a tone control
Neck's tone = transformed into a neck's volume
Middle's tone = transformed into a volume, wired to the bridge pickup with a 500K pot and push pull to split.
The middle pickup will then bypass the tone control, but I'd get the other possibilities I wanted :D
Artietoo, you're the man :) Thanks for helping all of us wiring n00bs on here.

Glad to help. As I think of it, having the "split" bypass the volume control could be kinda cool. Since splitting tends to reduce the volume, you could split the bridge, then adjust the neck to match.

Yeah . . . I planned it that way . . . thats the ticket. :laugh2:

Re: Wiring diagram needed (quick and easy one)

Wait, with what I suggested, the bridge's volume control wouldn't act on it if I split it?

No, not the way that diagram is. Let me explain:

If you wire up a "normal" split, it will have the volume control, but only work when the bridge is normally selected. You want the split portion to be usable independently of the selector switch, which then makes it independent of the volume control.

I'll "doodle" a couple more things on paper to make sure, but I believe thats correct. Might not be 'til tomorrow. ;)

No problems. I don't think it will be THAT bad if I don't have a volume when I split the humer anyway. Thanks a bunch!
