Wiring diagram needed

Hi, I'm looking for something particular for a HSS configuration with a Dimarzio Super Distortion Bridge, Duncan SSL-6 middle and Hot Rails neck:

-Auto-split in positions 2 and 4
-Tone control for bridge and middle ONLY, so no tone for the Hot Rails neck, as I want it to be just a little brighter

Thanx!

Re: Wiring diagram needed

It is in a Jackson that is strat-like (San Dimas), but it has one volume and ONE tone.

Re: Wiring diagram needed

Are you sure? The guitar had auto split before in a HSS configuration (1 humbucker and tow single coils), but with a master tone for all 3 pickups.

Re: Wiring diagram needed

Yep, one side of a standard switch will switch your pickups, the other side will do auto-split. If you had TWO tone pots you could do it, but since you only have one pot that you want to switch based on pickup position, you need a third pole (side) of a switch. Master Tone can simply connect to the volume pot for your case.

Re: Wiring diagram needed

Ok, so if I want to auto-split only one of the humbuckers, is that possible with a standard 5-way switch?

Re: Wiring diagram needed

i have something drawn up.. ill finish it later. I used a super switch in the drawing though. Would of finished it up and posted it last night but could not find this thread again.

I just woke up so, give me a bit

YES, but you need the superswitch because you want to separate tone controls.. Id have to look at it closer but I think you will still need a SUPER

going through my resources.. i found a drawing that looks like what you want

Re: Wiring diagram needed

just disconnect the tone for the neck and connect it to the bridge..to me this looks like what you want

Re: Wiring diagram needed

It's a HSH configuration with one volume and one tone. I want the tone disconnected for the neck pickup to increase brightness, it really helps with a darker neck pickup.

So I can't have auto-split in positions 2 and 4 without a super switch?

Re: Wiring diagram needed

here is the solution i came up with as there are variations of this but still be the same things electronically.. its not colored yet so its probably a bit hard to read to the uninitiated.. Yes, FOLKS.. my awesome and colorful drawings are in B&W originally. If this is ok, ill color it later with the proper color codes. Just woke up and not feeling great atm so it will have to be later

you keep on changing the requirements here.. 1st itwas a tone for the middle and bridge.. now its for the bridge. It might be possible to do with a regular switch I think but easier w/ a super..

Re: Wiring diagram needed

my drawing will work.. to get the neck to split.. take the north finish/south finish.. solder to the #2 lug ,right bottom .. that will take care of the neck split on #2

No, it's a single tone for the middle and bridge. Thanx for the diagram, I think I can figure out what's what. If it's too complicated I might just get a push-push pot to split the neck and bridge pickups when needed.

yea.. you could use a push-push pot to split the neck and bridge.. would be pretty easy to do
