Wiring Diagram request: 1 P-rail, tone, volume, 3-way toggle

Hello

I'm new here, I've checked if my request was already discussed, and I've checked the available SD wiring diagrams. I think this is the first ask for this.

1 P-rail, 1 tone and 1 volume control, and a 3-way switch for:
  • single coil
  • p90
  • humbucker in parallel.
If you have already done this and have advice or opinions, I'd love to hear them.
If you think you know how to wire this, I would love to learn!
I'd love to have this without push-pull thingies, just a very straightforward 3-way switch.

I like a simple setup, sharp choices, this feels like a great way to get the best out of this pickup, without the distraction of too many options.

Cordially

I am working this right now myself. If I get a solution I will share it

When you say "3-way", do you mean LP Style or Fender Style?

Ok . . . just drew it up. It must be a Fender style 3-way. If that's what it is, is it a standard Fender style, or the import 8-in-line terminals?

Three way toogle

On-off-on

The center would be full humbucker
The ends would either be the rail ot p90

Three lugs on the toggle

Hot from volume to one outside leg
Ground to the other outside leg
Red/whIte coil connect to the center

Which type of 3 way selector are you using ?

The drawing is different for each one

I have something similar on my headless Ehdwuld branded for my half rails

He wants one position to be parallel.

And, I just realized that Chistopher is right. You're basically just treating it like two singles. The only oddball thing is having the parallel position on one end. Which is simple.

Do figure 1 for the sequence in your original post. Do figure 2 for treating the two coils like a standard Tele. IE., parallel in the middle position.

Thank you all for your helpful replies. I was in Berlin, doing a guitar building workshop with the *awesome* Leo Lospennato. If you don’t know him, look him up, gorgeous guitars.

I would like to use a 3 way toggle, actually, not a fender style switch. I think a small toggle better suits my self-built guitar.

You're right. I think what was messing with my mind is that I just did a similar question for Bill Dennis in another thread, and then my mind got stuck on the order he listed. Which was parallel on one end. This will be easy. Gimme a sec.
