Wiring Diagram That Blends NOT Coil Tapping

Okay,

I hate the way my Humbuckers sound when coil tapped or whatever. So I play an Ibanez 5 way switch. On 2 and 4 it makes the NEck and Bridge Humbucker sound like single coils!!! NOO!OO!O!O!!O

SO I want positions 2 and 4 to blend the humbuckers with the single coil in the middle. Possible?

Many thanks.

Sure. Thats relatively easy. You would just connect all three pups to the 5-way the same as if it was a normal Strat. The only trick is, you'll need to connect the Ibby humbucker "split" wires back together that are now on the 5-way.

Which Ibby (model/year) do you have, and are they stock pups?

I have an Ibanez S540LTD with dimarzios, ummm Evolution, Virtual 2 Neck, and a Humbucker from Hell.

So there are 3 pickups, just undo the black and whites from positions 2 and 4 and just leave them empty? Is that right?

Yes, for Dimarzio black and white together. Red is hot. Wire it up like a standard strat as Artie said. Just know that the notch positions will no longer be hum cancelling.

And BTW, what you are referring to is coil splitting not coil tapping. ;)
