Wiring dilemma

I am redoing the wiring on an imitation Les Paul with slash pickups and I noticed that my guitar is already wired differently than most les Paul wiring diagrams. My capacitors are wired from the middle arm of the tone pot, directly to the back of the tone pot (ground). However, most les Paul diagrams will say to wire the cap between the volume and tone pots. Is there a difference in sound produced if this is done this way? Why are cheaper guitars usually prewired the first way instead of the second? Any ideas?

Re: Wiring dilemma

Hey Joe; No difference at all. The tone control is simply a pot and cap in series. So it doesn't matter what order there in.

These are all electrically identical:
