Wiring Duncan Distortion

I am replacing the bridge pickups in my Kramer Assault 220FR...Are the wiring schemes with pickups universal ? This guitar has coil tapping and in the instructions that came with the DD everything looks different that the way it is wired....of course I took pics...and I am wondering if I can replace the wires the same way they were when I took them out ?...in other words...put the green from the DD where the green was that I am taking out...there is one volume and one tone....the push-pull pot is the tone...The black wire coming out of the hole on the far left is the pickup I am replacing...the first pot on the left is the volume....the middle connections are the 3 way toggle switch....the far right is the tone (push/pull pot)

Original wiring......Grn/Wht - Soldered taped
Blk/Bare - Soldered to connection at top of toogle sw
Red - Soldered to connection on other side of toggle switch

Duncan Distortion instructions show
Red/Wht - Middle connection on toggle switch
Grn/Bare - Soldered to top of volume pot
Black - Soldered to side connection on volume pot

Re: Wiring Duncan Distortion

No you have to use the Duncan color codes. Follow the instructions with the pickup different manufacturers use different color schemes for the wires.
