wiring help? 2 phat cats 1 volume, 1 tone, 3 way switch PRS SE SANTANA

So I'm pretty new to pick up swapping. I got two phat cats to replace the original prs se humbuckers. I found out about the braided wiring is the ground but I originally replaced the neck pickup and left stock humbucker. I don't have any volume on the bridge now and neck volume at 10 barely comes through. So I thought I may have broke something when sodering and went and bought new wiring, three way, and pots. I decided while I was at it to replace bridge pickup as well with the phat cat. Can someone help me with a diagram for my Prs Se Santana with 2 phat cats 1 volume, 1 tone, 3 way switch. It would be very appreciated. I don't get if I'm supposed to run through the 3 way first and where to ground.

Welcome to the forum.

The sequence for the connections is pickup > selector switch > volume pot.

Where you ground the braided shielding is down to how much unshielded signal conductor you wish to leave exposed. Your choices are the chassis of the volume pot (for ease of soldering) or the chassis of the selector switch (for fuller screening).

Since we are discussing single coil pickups, fussing over two short lengths of unscreened conductor wire in the control cavity is pretty academic.

Regardless of the exact brand, the selector switch should have three points where signal carrying connections are made and one point where ground connections are made. Of the three signal bearing terminals, the central one is the overall output. The terminals to either side are where the pickups get connected. The fourth terminal is probably set away from the other three connections and is physically part of the metal chassis of the selector switch. This is where the braided screening could go.
