Good morning to the Duncandom and thanks for letting me in, Admin!

I'm completing a Thinline Telecaster-style custom this week and I need help getting a wiring diagram and guidance. It's going to have 2 P-Rails with Triple Shot rings. That part I can find plenty of documentation on.

Other than the Triple Shots, I'm kinda using a Les Paul style electrics setup: two pickups, a 3 way toggle switch, two tones and two volumes. BUT, I am using Allparts 500k/500k concentric pots (volume/tone stacked).

Can anybody help me get a wiring diagram for this?

And, I plan on using .022uf/400v Orange Drop capacitors on them... unless anybody can talk me out of that. I don't need to get ultra low, muddy tones and as I understand it the .022 would be a good range for the P-Rails and 500k pots.

Other details: it's a double f-hole design, no pickguard, it'll have a USA Bigsby B5 and a Golden Era roller bridge on it, 3-way switch in the Les Paul / 72 Thinline location and an unbranded Tele style neck with Pao Ferro fretboard.

Thanks in advance!

There is no difference between the wiring for separate pots and concentric pots, one is just stacked on top of the other one.

As for cap values, I recently found a lot of versatility can be had from using a .018uF cap. I just replaced most of my .022uF caps with .018uF because I found I can get good tones on both extremes of the tone control.

Welcome to the forum!

.022 is fine, whatever type (I can't tell the difference in type if they are in spec). That is what I used with my Triple Shot/P-Rail Combo and it gives usable range in all positions.

Thanks Christopher! I don't think I came across that one yet, so that helps.

This is a totally noob question: are the side of the caps and grounds (denoted with SOLDER) soldered just to outside of the pot housing, like where I'm holding them in the picture? Of course, the other end would be to the leads, I realize.

Yup, just solder the wire to the ground wires somewhere on the metal housing of the pots, which is exactly where you are holding.
