Can anyone tell me what the ground wire from the switch does in this diagram? Im trying to wire up a tele with a HB in the neck using a 5 way switch. The double wafer 4 pole switch doesn't fit in the control cavity. I think it's pretty easy to do if I use the bridge pup like a middle pickup in standard 3 pickup wiring. So the arrangement would be:
1: Neck HB
2: Neck HB & Bridge
3: Bridge
4: Bridge & Neck Split
5: Neck Split
Seems easy enough, but I'm still exploring other options and I'm wondering what the ground wire from the switch is for in that HH diagram. Does it just kill the connection on that pole when engaged? If that's the case, I don't think I need to run a ground from the switch for my arrangement above. It's just running the three leads from the pups, right?
Thanks
