Wiring Help Needed (Series + Out of Phase)

I have a Valley Arts Brent Mason Tele style guitar and want to mod the wiring. I want to change the use of the the push/pull switch on the middle pickup volume pot and use it to put the bridge and neck pickup in series and out of phase at the same time. I have the wiring diagram of the Mason guitar and a diagram outlining what I want to do but need help to come up with what exactly to do with my guitar to make it work. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Wiring Help Needed (Series + Out of Phase)

Welcome to the forum.

The single conductor + braided shield cable of the mini humbucker forces the series element of your modification to be achieved by linking its output to the reversed ground conductor of the bridge PU pickup.

Visualise the terminals of the DPDT as;
A1 A2 A3 | Pot
B1 B2 B3 | Chassis

A1 = Ground
A2 = Bridge Black
A3 = Link to B1
B1 = Link from A3 & output to selector switch terminal 5
B2 = Bridge Green
B3 = Link from selector switch terminal 4

Visualise the selector switch as;

1234 5678 (Import)

5678
1234 (USA)

1 = output link
2 = output link
3 = unused
4 = Neck PU & link to DPDT terminal B3
5 = Link from DPDT B1
6 = unused
7 = output link
8 = output link

The bare wire from the bridge pickup should be permanently grounded.
The red and white conductors should remain permanently linked.

Funkfingers,

Thank you very much for the info! I knew I'd be able to get an answer here. I have been a long time stalker and finally made the plunge to joining and glad I did.
