Re: Wiring help needed.

i am not completely sure i understand what you are asking (sorry) ... if i understand what you want, i think the answer to your question is 'no' ... i think you'll need to route the hot wires (black) differently for what i think you want

if you tell us exactly which combinations you want in each position, we can probably get you what you want

good luck

Re: Wiring help needed.

This is what i'm wanting.
1st position-Bridge
2nd position-Neck and bridge
3rd position-Neck
4th position-Bridge split and neck split
5th position-Neck split
Thanks

Re: Wiring help needed.

just got back from a party .. kinda too sleepy to diagram that out ... i bet someone will be along tomorrow to help you ... at first blush, i think you might need a 4 pole, 5 way switch to do this

bump this in the am to get some of the real expert attention on it

cheers

Re: Wiring help needed.

You can't just switch the red/white wires on that schematic. You need additional switching to get what you want.

Re: Wiring help needed.

Hey Mark; If no one gets to it first, I am actually working on this. I've got a couple of diagrams in front of you though, and lately, I've been spending a lot more time trying to get more proficient on my guitar, than hanging out here . . . so I'm moving a bit slow these days. ;)

Hopefully, early this coming week, I'll have a solution for you.

Re: Wiring help needed.

I could always use a 3 way selector w/2 coil tap switches.

Re: Wiring help needed.

hi mark .. i've been scratchin' at this with a standard 5-way and can't get it to work ... i can do it with a 4-pole, 5-way switch .. and it's cake with a 3 way and 2 toggles ... but i thought you wanted it with a stock 5 way AND in the order you listed ... if you are flexible on the order of the switch as long as you get those combos, i think it is way easier

another thing to consider is a push / pull pot

i think you could have:

5 - bridge only
4 - bridge split
3 - neck and bridge (push) / neck split and bridge split (pull)
2 - neck split
1 - neck only

let us know how flexible you are on some of this stuff (switches / pots / order)

Once again I'll say it, support your local techs as this is what they are supposed to know, and get paid for ... :firedevil
