Re: Wiring help needed!
I don't have either the guitar or an Artec, so I'm just going by the drawing posted and the description of the guitar. Since the Artec is an add-on, it appears it should have come with the necessary pots/controls for installation. However, you might need another hole in the pickguard for the Artec selector.
The Hondos I'm seeing on the Internet matching your description have two Gibson-style switches - if your is like that, you could use one of the switch holes for either the Artec selector or your tone knob. But by the same token, if it currently has one switch for each pickup, you'll need to lose one of the switches and get a true 3-way pickup selector switch to leave the second hole open for tone or the Artec.
You would be adding the preamp into the existing Hondo wiring, so you only need to focus on the dark black wires and components (not the greyed out stuff) in the Artec drawing and make sure they get hooked to the right places. Without seeing your actual guitar and current wiring and the Artec system and what it came with, I cannot help further.
