Wow, thank you so much for the information. That was extremely helpful. And yes, as you said, I'm new to this and therefore want to try out as much as possible.

One thing i do need cleared up is your suggestion for a serialization switch....

Doesn't the triple shot do the series switch? Why would I then need another one? To do split coils in series?

OH...okay, i think I understand now.

So, if i were to wire the TS the regular way...(looking at the bridge pickup)

both switches turned towards the slug coil turns the adjustable coil on.

both switches turned towards the adjustable coil turns the slug coild on.

both switches turned towards the middle puts both of the coils in series

and both switches turned to the outside puts both coils in parallel

I've got it now. For some reason I was thinking that the series setting on the TS was putting both HUMBUCKERS in series, not just the coils of each humbucker. That was what was confusing me. Now i understand much better.

Now, the OOP P/P wired to the neck would only change the sound if i have the selector switch set to the middle position (ie both pickups on)
