For the wiring to work, you need to modify the neck position pickup.
Examine the soldering eyelets on the lower fibreboard plate. From the start/black eyelet, you should also find a short connection to one of the fastening tabs of the metal pickup cover. This connection needs to be interrupted. I suggest disconnection the cover tab end.
Next, solder a new wire to the metal pickup cover tab. This will form the permanent screening ground. (Yellow in your diagram.)
The original black conductor runs to the selector switch, as per your schematic. What it is connected to is governed by the selector switch.
If you want a phase reversal switch á la Fender Baja Tele, it goes between the neck pickup and the selector switch.
