Wiring help!

Hey guys and gals,

I need a little help with my guitar wiring!

Background: I have a standard telecaster with two tele-humbuckers (Hot Rails STHR-1N + Lil'59 tele ST59-1 bridge). I also have a 3-way blade switch, and 500k volume and tone pots. The volume pot has a Fender S-1 switch thanks to the amazing people at 920D Custom Shop. I want to wire my pickups so that:

S-1 Switch up
Position 1: Bridge (Parallel)
Position 2: Neck (Parallel) + Bridge (Parallel) (in Parallel)
Position 3: Neck (Parallel)

S-1 Switch down
Position 1: Bridge (Series)
Position 2: Neck (Series) + Bridge (Series) (in Parallel)
Position 3: Neck (Series)

Would this be possible? And if so, would anybody kindly be able to provide me with a wiring diagram? I've searched high and low to no avail :(

Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Wiring help!

I say you have it reversed. I like to have my switches so that the "stock" sound (ie, the most commonly used one, series in this example) is active when the switch is in a neutral position. You have it opposite of that.

I could do some research into the S1 when I have the chance and then come up with a wiring for you, but work is slammed this week so I might not be able to find the time for a while.

Yes please, that would be great!

I purposely put the "stock" S-1 switch sound on parallel because I see myself using that most of the time, with the switch to series being more of a passive boost (of sorts). But the other way works fine too, I'm not too particularly bothered, I just want to be able to access both sounds!

Assuming this is accurate:

I believe you need to do this:

A1 - connect to A2
B1 - Bridge white
C1 - Ground

A2 - connect to A1
B2 - Bridge red
C2 - Hot

A3 - connect to A4
B3 - Neck white
C3 - Ground

A4 - connect to A3
B4 - Neck red
C4 - Hot

...but I agree with Christopher, if it were me I would reverse it so that up is normal and down is whatever the special wiring is (parallel coils in this case)

Based on some people i've asked, it would seem that the rows of connections that work together are on opposite sides of the switch. It's a confusing switch :(

Re: Wiring help!

I just metered out my S1 switch, and it's exactly as beaubrummels shows.
