Hi,
I can't find any wiring diagrams for wiring togheter a SH-9 SILVERBIRD (a discontinued Duncan humbucker that looks like the dimebucker) bridge, vintage rails middle and hotrails neck. I've got a scheme for 3 humbuckers with 1 volume, 1 tone, 5-way superswitch (1-bridge, 2-half bridge/half middle, 3-middle, 4-half middle/half neck, 5-neck) but I don't know if the vintage rails works like a humbucker ( and can be split for the positions 2 and 4) or like a stacked (humcancelling) single coil?

If the vintage rails can't be split, what I need is a wiring diagram for:

bridge: sh-9 humbucker
middle: vintage rails (4 conductors)
neck: hotrails

1 volume
1 tone
5-way switch: POSITIONS: 1-bridge, 2-half bridge/middle, 3-middle, 4-middle/half neck, 5-neck

Please, help me! Thanx!!!!!!!!

If the VR is 4-wire, (which it is), it can be split. Here's the tricky part. To achieve the "classic" sound of the VR, it should be wired in parallel rather than in series. That makes it a little more tricky to split.

Let me think on it a bit. It can be done, I just want to do it right.
Others may chime in. Hopefully. :)

I think . . . I'll have another beer. Wiring tomorrow. :D

Edit: I just noticed, you mentioned using a Superswitch. This will be a piece-'o-cake. Tomorrow. ;)

Another thing: look at the pic of the vintage rails: I don't know if the 2 blades work for all the 6 strings or are split for the bass and treble strings and therefore the vintage rails can't be split. I think that the magnetic blades are only the shiny two, the black two are plastic (cosmetic continuation of the ceramic two).

Oops . . . thanks for reminding me. Splitting a VR would be an interesting experiment, but I don't think thats what you're after.
