Wiring Idea

Aight, I have a OLP MM4 which is basicly a MusicMan Sihouette only made in china (and not as good :P). So I'm going to install a Invader SH-8 in bridge position but I know there's going to be some difference in volume. So this is how the selector works now:

But I was wondering how it would sound if I would make it like this:
1. 1&2
2. 1&3
3. 1&4
4. 2&3
5. 2&4

So that the invader is always chosen. My questions are:
Would that sound good?
How would I wire my guitar to do this?
Do you recommend something else?

Specs on my guitar:
Body Material: Basswood w/ Bevels
Neck/Fingerboard: North American Maple/Rosewood
Frets: 22 Jumbo
Scale: 25.5"
Inlay Design: Black Dots
Hardware: Chrome
Machine Heads: Sealed Diecast
Pickups: Bridge Humbucker; Middle Single Coil; Neck Single Coil (all w/ Alnico Magnets)
Electronics: 1 volume, 1 Tone, 5-way switch
Bridge: Non-Locking Tremolo

(I know my English isn't perfect)

Re: Wiring Idea

Thanks for the reply. The thing is, I'm not really sure what I want because I don't know how it will sound. All I can say is that I mostly play metal in D standard or Drop C, so I guess I will mostly be using the bridge humbucker but I'd like to have the possibility to get some nice cleans to. I'm almost certain that THIS is the wiring I have right now (is that maybe good enough?).
As for my 5-way switch, I have opened my guitar but I don't remember how many poles there were but I do remember that there were no groups, just poles in a row (either Mega-S or Import on the image below).

The materials I have to mod my guitar is just the stuff in the guitar and two SPDT toggle switches (one could be broken, I also have a bunch of leds but that won't help :P)

Re: Wiring Idea

The wiring you are attaching doesn't corresponds to the functions description above.
The switch COULD be the "Import" one but, we have to confirm it.

I am sorry, but If you don't want to put something from your part, don't expect great help here.

Yeah, my guitar has a pickguard so if I'm going to check my switch I have to remove the strings and I don't have a pack of strings laying around. But I think I'll just install the pickup into my existing circuit and while I do that I'll count the pins, take a picture or whatever and mod it later. Does that sound ok? :)

Re: Wiring Idea

So, you cannot achieve what you want with such a switch, you need a super-switch.

well, I don't want to do it after you explained it to me why it's not good. I installed my SH-8b this morning and it sound good the way it is, so maybe later. But thanks for your help though.
