The stud coil, especially in the bridge position, has a little more girth and body. A little more string-bite too. Its worth it, at least once, to wire up a humbucker like the attached diagram, using an on-off-on switch, just so you can instantly compare the difference.

So if I was looking for more of a telecaster bridge pickup sound, would you suggest the stud coil?
