Alright. I've got a strat, CC (4-conductor) in the bridge, old Peavey bridge single coil in the neck, room for one switch and three pots.

I had it wired just like a three-single, 5-way strat with the bridge/middle position as the full humbucker. I don't know how I did it, whether I figured it out or stumbled upon it by accident (the more likely one :D), but at some point something came loose or stopped working (it's my brother's guitar, BTW).

I left it over at Luke's house until this last weekend since he abducted my soldering iron. He started working on it before I could get to it and had it partially working, but he changed the wiring up enough that I couldn't get it back.

After several hours and hundreds of ppm of solder fumes, I decided I was doomed to failure and would go with something I knew how to do - use a three-way switch and wire it like a tele with seperate volume controls for each pup. Luke loaned me a three-way switch that he had as a spare, but it's completely different from any I've ever used and I guess I'm not smart enough to figure it out - or it's busted.

Anyway, I'm about to just pick up a regular three-way tele switch and be done with it.

Before I do that, give me some suggestions for some versatile setups. I'm open to pretty much anything (with his approval), but I'd like to get it done by this weekend, so it needs to be something I can buy at a local guitar store.

So, hit me with some ideas.

What kind of sounds are you looking to get out of your pickups? Various combinations are possible.
