wiring my wah pot

Hey,

I'm having a little trouble wiring my Fulltone Clyde Wah pot into my Dumlop crybaby and I was wondering whether anyone could help me out.

I fitted it as shown here: http://www.happybob.com/marc/pot_adjustment_procedure.htm with the yellow wire from the Dunlop pot going onto the middle lug of the Fulltone one, and the blue and black wires (1 and 3 on the diagram in the link) going to the lugs either side of the middle one on the Fulltone pot.

However, when I turn the wah on I get what sounds like an effected signal, but turning the pot produces no sweep or change in tone. What am I doing wrong?

I also converted the pedal to true-pass and in doing so connected a ground wire to the same terminal as the black wire on the pot, if I have the blue and black pots the wrong way round, could that be causing the problem?

I e-mailed Fulltone asking about it (I thought the pot itself may be faulty as turning the shaft didn't do anything) but they simply said that they don't help on mods or installs (for $30 for a such a small part a line or two of advice would have been appreciated... oh well, i suppose he's a busy man.)

I figured i'd better ask someone first before trying different wiring combinations and heating and re-heating the (expensive) pot. Hope someone can help...

Adam.
