wiring on-off-on

hello everyone,

I have a Epiphone Sheraton in normal configuration; 2 humbuckers, 2 volumes, 2 tones, 3-way switch.

Now, I have an on/off/on mini-switch that I want to use for split/normal/split.

Or are there maybe other options?

Can you help me plz, with the wiring diagram?

Sry if it's already posted somewhere else, I have used the search but couldn't really find what I needed.

:thanks:

Re: wiring on-off-on

red/white to center lug of on-off-on

green to one side lug of on-off-on then ground

black to other side lug of on-off-on then pot

in the center (off) position, it is a normal humbucker

toggle 'up' selects one coil, and toggle 'down' selects the other

good luck

Or you could wire center lug to ground, red & white from bridge pu to one side and red & white from neck to the other side. This will allow to split coils on either pu Individually.

ah, correct - this would let you combine one pup split with the other pup not split .... but you wouldnt be able to choose which coil to split and you wouldnt be able to split both at the same time, right?

Correct, your way allows user to split either slug or coil side on one pickup. If you wanted to split coils on both pickups at once you could use an on off switch.

Both red & white from each pickup would go to one side of the switch and the other side would go directly to ground.

yup yup!

i started using the way i described above when i was in pursuit of a way of doing inners and outers splits .... in addition to a mag flip and reverse wire (for RWRP), i wired it up so that i could get bridge north with neck south and vice versa - very fun once i figured it out
