Wiring P90 into custom build

Hi all,
I'm embarking on a custom build soon and need some advice as to how to wire my electronics. Here's what I'm planning on:

As you can see, it's basically a Les Paul Jr. Double Cut, but I switched out the pickguard for one from a PRS Vela (I won't actually be using one from that guitar, I'll be making it myself). I did this so it'd be easier for me to just load everything onto the pickguard and drop it in, as I'm used to wiring strats. Will I be able to put the soapbar in the pickguard just like singlecoils and humbuckers go in there in a strat? Would it be possible for someone to give me some wiring diagram or something? I just have the one P90, one volume, one tone, and the output.

Er, like, how were you thinking to suspend a soapbar style P90 from a scratchplate? Its mounting screws pass through the bobbin, between polepieces. Also, since you will be employing a stud mounted wrapover bridge/tailpiece and a corresponding neck tilt angle, your pickup will need to be elevated above the flat top of the guitar's body. Strangely enough, to pretty much the exact height of a P90 "dogear" cover.

Regarding the wiring, the majority of P90 pickups are supplied with single conductor + braided shield output cable. There is only one sensible way to wire this into circuit. The exception to the generalisation is Gibson aftermarket pickups. These may have two-con + shield cable. This allows more wiring permutations, including easy and switchable phase reversal.

Yeah, p90's don't mount to pickguards.
