hey guys,

yesterday i got a duncan distortion for my ltd ec200qm on the bridge
2 humbucker, 2 vol, 1push/pull/vol
this is the wiring diagram:
http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=2h_2v_1t_3w_pp
1. problem i got was, that the original Pups have other wiring color(but made it how it is shown on the wiring diagram)
2. after 2h of work i finaly made it, without any buzz, but the push/pull dont work on this pu and the tone is turned down all the time and the PU is a bit
quiet
did i something wrong? please help me!
(and yeah sorry for my bad english)

Solving this one will require photographs of your wiring.

From what you have written, it seems that you have gotten some of the grounding connections wrong on the new tone pot. The higher frequencies of the signal are being shunted to ground via the capacitor, regardless of how the resistance track of the pot is adjusted.

If you wired the Distortion according to the diagram correctly, and you have correct grounding (as Funkfingers has suggested), it sounds like you need to double check the ESP pup wiring color code. I am not familiar with ESP wiring colors, but they are probably different than SD.

If you are saying that the split doesn't work for the Dist, you definitely have it wired incorrectly (probably missing the ground connection on the P/P on the side where the Dist is soldered...either a shunt across the top two lugs as shown in the diagram, or from the lug directly to the back of the pot).

Sounds like a wiring issue with the color codes. Each 4conductor pu uses two hot & two cold wires
. Then to correctly operate a coil trap, one series of hit and cold need to be grounded out. Make sure your grounds are correct. If it is when both pu are on, then it sounds like a phase issue to me. If not, prob only one correct set of wires is correct.

Guitarelectronics.com has a great color code guide. Check the color codes, should help.
