Wiring push/pull pot

I think that this is a pretty simple task but just wanted to check with you guys to make sure it's done correctly. I have an invader (bridge), hot rails (neck) and a single push/pull pot (DPDT). I want to use this pot as a volume control for both pups and a switch between the two. In the down position the bridge pup is activated and up activates the neck pup. Would I run the black wire of the bridge pup to the bottom lug of the switch and the neck to the top lug? Then connect the common contact of the switch to an outer lug of the potentiometer? Somthing like the figure below?

|------ O O O (lugs for the potentiometer)
| o o-------neck
|------- o o (lugs for the switch)
o o--------bridge

Re: Wiring push/pull pot

The middle lugs run to the hot lug on the volume control.

Wire the hot lead from the Invader to the bottom lug on one side. Wire the hot lead from the hot rails to the top lug on the opposite side. Sorry if that's what you were trying to show in your diagram... I couldn't quite read it too well.

Re: Wiring push/pull pot

Given that a push pull pot links only the top or bottom lugs and center is common, he doesn't actually have to wire the pickup to opposite sides. It could all be done one side perfectly well. Ie, Invader to bottom left, Hot rails to top left, volume output to center left.

Re: Wiring push/pull pot

it's also not entirely uncommon to ground that lug... atleast according to many diagrams I've seen. But yes, it could be done either way.
