WIRING QUESTION

Re: WIRING QUESTION

Helluva first post. Managed to be insulting and completely useless at the same time.

Re: WIRING QUESTION

Perhaps, one of us ought to post "Welcome to the forum"?

Perhaps, it is a former member returning in ghostly form? (Jessie Sammler did it!) :D

Re: WIRING QUESTION

Wow. Thanks... Here's what I'm looking for.
1 V (treble bleed), 2 T (push pull, respective coil split OUTER adjustable), 3 Way.

I've tried this a number of ways and am getting nothing. Called tech support.
I know my way around electronics, I really just didnt think anyone would post back.
Any info would be helpful. Thanks you guys/girls in advance.

Re: WIRING QUESTION

That first one i tried. As a matter of fact it's in my guitar right now. I got nothing. plus it's not completely accurate because I'm trying to split each coil. I'm just gonna have to draw one up or something. I get no sound. Each tone needs an outer split. I wish I could just look at the exact thing

Re: WIRING QUESTION

I had it set up before, but i had went to clean it up and re wire it. Now I can't seem to get it back to where it was. The stock wiring was different from what SD diagrams had. SO i rewired like that and now nothing.

Re: WIRING QUESTION

The diagram should be much different with TWO push pulls on TONE instead of ONE on the volume.
:/ any input on that? I appreciate the help so far

you could have overheated your pots. i've done it before and learnt the hard way.

Re: WIRING QUESTION

i shall check them with my meter. they're all 500k pots, brand new. haven't had any issues with them yet.

Re: WIRING QUESTION

Tone pots brand new reading nominal. Volume pot reading no resistance from any tag but also not reading any shorts from tag 1 or 2 to ground (while 3 is obv grounded)
Think the volume needs replacing? I doooo

My bad.

I have been interfering with guitar wiring for a very long time. For non standard circuits like the one you requested, I mentally juggle the elements from several common schematic diagrams into the necessary permutation to do the job. I rarely feel the need to draw them on paper.

I regard the components by their functions rather than their physical appearance and/or position. For me, the DPDT switch under the push-pull pot is two switches. For your specific circuit, one set of three switching contacts would be on one push-pull, the second set of three switching contacts would be on the second push-pull. (Neck PU split under the neck PU Tone control. Bridge PU split under the bridge PU Tone control.)

NOTE: The common grounding jumper connection between the two poles of the single push-pull pot in the original SD schematic diagram no longer applies. The ground connections for each split switch will need to be made separately.

Re: WIRING QUESTION

I understand and I've gotten that far. What confuses me is the preference to split the volume pot when really i'm doing individual splits with the tone pots. What I'm going to do is replace my volume pot and I'm also going to look at a standard HH 1v 2t 3w diagram
