On the SD site if you look under the Seth Lover pickups and click on wiring diagrams on the second page it shows wiring using single braided wire pickups is this 50's style independent volume wiring
No, that's the standard "modern" wiring. 50's independent has the lead from the pup going to the center lug of the vol pot. The wire to the switch comes off of the first lug of the vol pot. Tone pots are wired fine.
