Now i like to think i know most of the high-profile amp brands out there.

And yes, i know of Wizard, but never looked into them.

I did not know they had such a massive pro-legion folllowing

Now i do not care for most of those pro muso's . . .

. . . but what me made me sit up and pay attention is when i saw the Young brothers with their Wizard amps.

Never knew they used anything but true Marshalls.

W O W !!!

These things must be good, if it is AC/DC Approved.

I wonder how they sound, different yet similar to marshalls I presume... I wonder if that roster of musicians uses them on recordings/live, or are folks that received some wizard stuff in the mail???

Im pretty sure Hovercraft came about because Nial thought that doom musicians shouldn't have had to pay enough for 1 amp as they would the tour van.

Ive been curious about these too. Dont seem to hear much about them and they are pricey. Wizard amps and Diamond amps are both brands Ive heard are very good, but hear little else about them

I remember Diamond amps spawning from the Dean/DBZ company a few years ago. They were pretty stoked about the release, then it seemed the dropped the ball for one reason or another; that may have been when Dean left DBZ or something.

4K for an amp?!?!?! thats more than a new Matamp, count me out of the wishingz

I saw a video a while ago where Scott Ian was backstage with Angus's guitar tech and he was playing through his rig. The Wizard amp had a lot of plexi style growl even with the volume at 50-60%. With the volume rolled back the amp was dynamic and open sounding and when Scott rolled up the volume the sound got hotter and more focused.

WOW . . . looks like AC/DC did use them at some point.
Thanks for the links.

I want one because I dream of spelling out my band's name with name-brand guitar heads.

"GREEN WIZARD ORANGE SUNN" just rolls off the tongue.

you know what?
...
this is what I was thinking of when I posted to this.

Seriously, big oops there. Sorry guys. For the life of me, I'm at a loss as to why a britbong hiwatt/marshall amp would range as high a price as they do. I can get why the Dunwich amp would tho.
