Wolfgang pups vs. 78

For those of who in the know, can you describe the differences between the stock Peavey Wolfgang pickups and the SD '78 model? I think I remember the Peaveys being a little hotter.

Also, if anyone can compare the EB/MM pups as well, that would be an added bonus. Thanks

I prefered the Axis pickups over the Wolfgang pickups. The Wolfgang pickups seemed way to hot and raspy sounding while the Axis pickups were hot but sounded very tight, balanced and didn`t get muddy. I`ve never heard the `78 but I`ve read that some love it and some give it a so so.
