Wolfie Trouble persists..

Re: Wolfie Trouble persists..

Right i gave it a about 1/8 mabye more turn and really suprised on how easy they actually turn, How long should i wait to see a change or should i give it just a little more?

Cheers

Re: Wolfie Trouble persists..

Right i just realised that its as loose as it can possibly get, i just turned it another 1/8th and its basically completely loosend, it was free to move up and down the neck by simply pushing it, although it would only move a few mm as thasts all the clearance the torsion screew had..i turned it back about a 1/4 turn and it seems to be back snug..So i doesnt look like Loosening the truss rod will straighten the neck..

any thoughts

Cheers..

Re: Wolfie Trouble persists..

I think it's time to find a good luthier.

I'd also search the net for any similar problems and possible solutions.

BTW, I really like the look of your AM archtop Wolfie and I hope it's an easy fix for you.

Re: Wolfie Trouble persists..

Open string buzzing could mean nut is too low. Shim it up with some tin foil. Took care of the problem for me. Grab Erlewine's "How to make you electric guitar play great." Lotta good info in there.

Re: Wolfie Trouble persists..

I think i will grab the book..ive heard great things about it..

I shall try the shimming and see if that helps..
Thanks Inter :laugh2:

Re: Wolfie Trouble persists..

Boy, talk about a coincidence. There's another y2stevo over at the Peavey forum, with a Wolfie, with a problem just like yours.
(Nod, nod, wink, wink.) :laugh2:

Re: Wolfie Trouble persists..
