Hmm, when you swapped the pots, did you have to enlarge the holes? I think Alphas are smaller than CTS/Bourns if I'm not wrong.

Yes. I use a tapered reamer for enlarging the holes. A step bit works too (be careful).

Yeah I'll just send it to a guy I know can do that. I don't have either of those tools.

I use a drill bit too
Halfway through from top
Then up from the bottom

Or

On pickguards
Driven by hand
