i once thought i wanted a Tube Screamer, but now that i have my Fulltone '69 Fuzz Face I wont ever get another type of distortion, i like it so much. If you like Hendrix sorta tones, go for this. I love the amount of lows and the big warm fuzz i get from it.

I suggested that OD because you had asked for:
"The one tone that I'd really like to get and can't from my current rig is a thick, liquid, sustaining, violin-like overdrive for jazz/fusion. Yes, reminiscent of "the D-word" . I've read accounts of pedals being able to get in the ballpark (which is really all I can ask for, considering my budget ), most recently the HAO Rumble Mod."
(FYI) The Zendrive clips were done by Jazz and Country players, but that is just their styles. The Zendrive has a Dumble quality to it...In fact, it's been said that Robben Ford actually uses the Zen when he doesn't have his Dumbles available! Keep in mind that it is a medium gain OD...Just wanted to clear up some things for you.

Yeah, I listened to the clips and liked what I heard (especially from Mr. Lerner, but I figured he was running the pedal into his Fuchs amp which already has those qualities I desire). It seems to be based on the Tubescreamer design though, which isn't what I'm looking for here. If I'm wrong about that assumption though, please correct me
