After going way down the boutique rabbit hole, I finally realized that my favorite Strat pickup is the SSL-1 (followed closely by the APS-1). Since I seem to like the way Seymour Duncan voices their pickups I thought I'd see what would be a good pickup for an HSS Strat.
I'm looking got a pickup that gives that woody, hollow humbucker sound. I'm not sure it's possible in the bridge position but I thought I'd ask.
The other option I'm considering is putting a Twangbanger or something in the bridge.
