Woohoo Only $125,000??

Re: Woohoo Only $125,000??

i dont care how rare it is, it doesnt sound better than any other guitar (you know what im talking about)

Re: Woohoo Only $125,000??

Exactly. Rare or not, the Jazzmaster is pretty much not for me, I wouldn't give $125 for that :foot:

Re: Woohoo Only $125,000??

i thought the chinery collection has the prototype jazzmaster.i read it from vintage guitar magazine 10 years ago.it was blond if i remember it correctly and with black plastic parts including the pick-ups.and i'll just buy a 50's les paul for that kind of money.

Amen - if you are going to spend that kind of dough, spend it on something that sounds good and looks cool. I've never been a big fan of the Jazzmaster. That's just me, though. I'll take a '59 Les Paul any day of the week.

Re: Woohoo Only $125,000??

George Fullerton looks like he'd be a fun guy to sit around with and chew the fat.

Re: Woohoo Only $125,000??

Ah man you gotta love a jazzmaster..
So i guess theres not many people that like the Jazzmaster then??

Re: Woohoo Only $125,000??

that is an amazing piece of history!!!

but that's more than i payed for my house...!!! LOL!!! :smack:

Re: Woohoo Only $125,000??

actually, i like jazzmasters. the best squire guitar i have ever played was a jazzmaster. was the quality of a u.s.a. made and sounded like one too.

but not for that type of money i dont like any guitar....

Re: Woohoo Only $125,000??

I love that guitar. That gave me bad GAS! I've always wanted to play a real Fender Jazzmaster and that's the very first one. Not to mention the first one ever in "fiesta red". It's unbelievable to me.

I'm still drooling over that '62 Jaguar they have underneath it :eek2:

Re: Woohoo Only $125,000??

thats one cool guitar! not because it plays or sounds great but just cause its the first one and its the first fiesta red, can you say collectors item? with george selling it, the provinance doesnt get any better

Re: Woohoo Only $125,000??

J. Mascis made the Jazzmaster sound pretty good!

They have some nice stuff there--the JD Tele and the MIJ 52 w/ Bigsby especially.

If I was Donald Trump, I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

True true, and personally I love the Jazzmaster as well ... for my music anyway ... but I'm not out to get that one

Yeah, the guitar looks cool, but it's more cool to see the mature George Fullerton. I think I've only seen the young pictures of him running the Fender plant. He's the guy who's name is the first letter of G&L Guitars.

George Fullerton and Leo Fender Guitars. ASAT stands for "After strat, after Tele."

i think id rather put the money on a house...even if i had that kind of dough. seems silly to spend that much for the 'gee, look how cool i am' factor with your friends. If you have that much money to spend on a guitar, why not buy a bunch of guitars and donate them to a school or something, so you really have something to be proud of.
