Hey dudes,

got some new stuff cooking. It ain't done yet but I'd appreciate some feedback Why does the mix sound a bit muddy? Is it a low-mids problem? Mixing and mastering tips are very welcome!

I'm no mixing expert, but I don't think it sounds muddy at all. I think the bass line could use a little more punch, but all in all, it sounds pretty balanced.

If you haven't already give these ideas a try.

If your piano is in stereo try putting each channel on its own track and delay one side by about 3ms panned hard left and right or pan it to about 10:00 O'clock without delaying and separating the tracks, or if you have a Waves S1 Stereo imager try that, also a lo cut on the piano at 140hz. Some of the synths could use some cuts in the 300 Hz range and lo cut filters also at 120Hz and up to taste, the sub bass a lo cut at 50z.
