Worse album from your favorite guitarist

Re: Worse album from your favorite guitarist

Tremolo by Paul Gilbert. It's exactly what it sounds like, tons of whammy bar action. Too much. Like the number of solos that Kirk Hammett uses wah on is about how many times Paul uses the whammy bar on the record.

Sadly agreed.

His last album Fuzz universe was absolutely brilliant, addictive and masterful.

Aerosmith have been slowly fading ever since they started letting Bryan Adams ghost write for them but Nine Lives brought it to a new low. The album they are releasing next is supposedly a return to their 70's arena rock roots but doesn't every band say that the next album is going to sound like their classic period.

After the awesome record that was Crystal Planet, Satch's "techno" adventure didn't sit well with me.

Comments from the Rolling Stones on Their Satanic Magesties Request:

Mick Jagger:

Keith Richards:

Bill Wyman:

That's actually not too bad of a record if one has dropped acid beforehand. It is in the same category as Donovan's Cosmic Wheels...

^Sorta agreed.
Steve Vai and Devin Townsend are both freakishly talented, but the album doesn't grab me

St Anger.

I really like Metallica but I can't stand St Anger. That snare drum sound really gets on my nerves. I usually have a hard time finishing just one song from the album and even after I'm done I still hear the "Tang!,Tang!,Tang!" sound ringing in my ears.
