Re: Would a SH-5 Custom sound too bright in a gothic SG?
I don't think it's possible for a Duncan Custom to sound bright. Putting it in an SG might darken the tone of the SG a little bit as the Custom is a very low midrange-heavy pickup. I have one in the bridge position of my Schecter C1 which has a mahogany body and is about as light as my SG Standard and it sounds great. So great that I plan on sticking one in the bridge of my SG.
