Would i be crazy to sell my Delay

Its a Boss DD2, works perfect, but i have had for 6 months and have had 0 use for it. I am a young guitarist and have never sold any gear to fund other gear. Should i hang on to it in case i want delay further down the road. Right now i cant see my self using it for awhile and i want to buy a different pedal.

Keep it! As you are just starting out (?) this is a good place to start, just try using it as a chorus, set it at the absolute minimum delay time and about a 1/4 depth, thickens up your sound just a touch.

That's a nice pedal you got. Would be hard to find if you ever decide you want to get another after selling it. On the other hand, and I hope I don't sound too patronising here (I don't know how long you've been playing), I think too much gear can be a hindrence when you're learning guitar.

Plus, if you've no use for it then what's the point in keeping it? Did you have another pedal in mind?

Is that better or worse than the DD5?
I've used a DD5 in the past, and if it were that pedal in question, I'd say hang on to it.
I've had no experience with a DD2.

DD2 is identical to the DD3, and delay is an effect you go through phases of...

IMO, keep it for as long as possible, they're semi-collectable. if you really do want to sell it, look for completed prices on ebay before deciding a price. you may surprise yourself...

Keep it! They're old now, so you'll have a hell of a time trying to find it if you ever wanted the same one.

I've got a couple of old analog delays, those are hard to replace.

But any time you've got an old piece that's out of production- it becomes how much it means to you.
