I did some reading here and it seems that the custom-custom is just a custom with a different magnet?
I have a alnico II loaded gibson classic 57 that i can take the magnet out of?
would the CC be closer to a older paf tone than the stock custom is?
i need a very open tone that still has some balls in the output
i tried a 59,dimarzio regular paf,and a gibson 57
all these sound real good but are lacking in the output?
this is what seymour duncan says?
The Custom CustomTM is our SH-5 Duncan CustomTM humbucker with an Alnico II magnet for warm and smooth highs, more midrange, and a spongier bottom end than the SH-5. It’s a good choice for players who need a traditional vintage tone with increased output.
So will it still sound like a paf?
