Would this be a good

Re: Would this be a good

Just my 2-cents worth, but I like your original idea of the Lil 59 and the Vintage Rails. I had that combo in my Strat not too long ago and loved it. The Lil 59 has a "warmer" sound than traditional singles, but the VR comes back to that, with a touch more "maturity". ;)

The only reason I took it out was that it did a good job of mimicking its full-size brother - which I already have in another guitar.

If you like dealing with ER, do so. I have to say that there are a million real horror stories going on about him. Keep your wits about you when you do business with him. If you want to do yourself a favour, ask guys from www.mattsmusic.com and www.vwallguitars.com a price too. You'll at least have something to negotiate with!

I've bought stuff from Ed before. He has one salesman that I think is a "Richard Cranium" and I will not deal with him, he tried to bend me over for the cost of a TB-4. Ed was not around, good thing for the sales guy because I've seen Ed yell at his sales people for being stupid!

Ed answers his phones when everyone is busy and he has sold me a number of parts that had to be special ordered for great prices. Hell I bought a cheap acoustic to bang around on and he sold it to 40% off. I did have a problem with the way his tech set it up, real crappy job. But then again it was free and I had planned on taking it to my regular luthier anyways.

I have no problem buying from him at all.

Hopefully the new combo will work out well. I think I'm going to the installs instead of taking it in. Can you fire me up a good diagram for wiring?
