Would this work with my microcube?

Re: Would this work with my microcube?

Sure would. I have one and use it with my Valvetronix. The cool thing is it handles speaker out loads too, not just line out loads. For the price, it's worth it. Make sure you get a XLR to 1/4" cable if needed or XLR to XLR cable and then whatever adapter you need if necessary. The output to the board is XLR only. There is a direct out too for hooking it up between a head and cabinet, eliminating the need for a microphone in front. It works really well in that situation too.

As far as improvement on the sound, well, that'll come down to what you think vs. your amp mic'd up.

Well, I would be going from the direct out on the cube (1/4) to the DI and then into a recorder (1/4) and I have the correct cable.

Answer me this thougth, how would I use it with my crate v-series combo, it only has a line-in line-out (more like effects loop) and then a extension speaker out?

I was only planning on using it with the cube and recording but if it would work with my amp I may use it for that too

Thanks for the info.

Ok, cool. Just use an instrument cable from the direct out to the Ultra-G and you're good.

Ok, in this situation, you could send the signal from the line out to the Ultra-G and then to the recorder, same as your Micro Cube.

-OR-

(this assumes the internal speaker is cut off when the external speaker jack is un use)

You could run speaker out in to the Ultra-G, to the recorder (don't forget to depress the -20db pad buttons), and then "direct link out" from the Ultra-G back to the speaker in the amp. This is so your amp retains the load. My amp is ok without a speaker load but yours won't be. It may entail rigging up a 1/4" jack to the speaker so you can put the DI box between the amp and the speaker. I just hooked one up to the extra tabs on the speaker in my amp so in live situations, if I had to, I could put the DI box in place no problem.

I hope this all makes sense.

Re: Would this work with my microcube?

I don't see why not. It does for my AD50, it should for your DA15.

You are using the same output then? Not to be confused with a speaker out. Sorry, just need to confirm :)

Also, how is the 4x12 emulation?

I thought, I could go line out into the di and then out of the di's direct link back into the line in of the amp....is this what you mean?

You don't need to do that. In fact, I wouldn't do that. The direct link is for when you put the DI between the amp and speaker. The manual explains the different hookups.
