I did...it was not on purpose, but I have to tell you guys...it was my 69 Twin Reverb, which BTW has been dropped once before I got it...so hard in fact it broke the cab which is why I got it so cheep, after I bought it I had to rebuild the whole thing, but on to tonight...long story short, I dropped it and it rolled all the way down a full flight of metal stairs!!! I picked it up, brought it in, put the tubes back and the played throught it...it's a little more beat up now, but it still works like a Champ (no pun intended!!!). I must say not only do Fender amps sound amazing but their pretty well built too!!!

Sounds like you're either not getting enough sleep or you need to really cut back on the amount of booze and drugs your ingesting..LOL :smack: :dance: :laugh2:

b)no if i didnt get anything out of droping my amp down the stairs and then i just had to play with out an amp

i read a story where when jimi hendrix first came to england and started rehearsing with the experience, they gave them WEM amps to rehearse with, and jimi in particular hated those amps........they would throw them down the stairs, out first floor windows and what not......and they just wouldnt break lol.....

just reminded me of that story........good to hear the twin still works!

Dammit boy!!!! Glad to hear that it still works. When I was reading it I was thinking, "Dont tell me you trashed your amp"

Might not be a bad idea to have a tech check it over or at least do it yourself, could'a rattled something loose.

When the Northridge Earthquake happened here, about 12 yrs ago, I had a Marshall and Peavey 5150 head get thrown from the tops of cabinets to the other side of the room. Since the force of the quake felt like a wrecking ball hit the side of the apartment, the heads were thrown hard enough to unplug the speaker and power cable, on the Marshall. The Peavey was dangling over the side of the cab, hanging by it's power cord. I didn't care about anything in the apt. except my gear and my truck. A few guitars were on their faces, but no cracked headstocks.

No.

But my marshall fell out of our equip-truck a few years ago and had to have the case replaced (i.e. the amp housing). So now it´s a "stealth Marshall", probably the best theft insurance you can get

Hey, I remember you from AX84, asking questions about how to fix it after the FIRST time it rolled down the stairs.

That amp sounds suicidal to me. Refer it it a competent amplifier psycologist immediately. Also, stop taking gigs in basement and/or second-floor clubs.

The guy that owned my early 60's Gibson Invader GA-30 amp before I did hung it outside of his dorm room window once. As far as I know it didn't fall . It didn't particularly impress the girls in the room below either . That was 20 years ago and that amp is still going strong
