Come up with some cool ideas here!

was 'blank' EQ-wise. As even as can be, designed for lots of processing, modeling and mangling.

In the bass community that is not that uncommon. Low impedance pickup with no audible resonance peak and then a 2nd order LPF to place a peak whereever you want it.

The Bill Lawrence Ultrasonics were pretty flat and transparent but not everybody liked them.

I would like a Tele bridge version of the SSL-6 Custom.

How about a double slug humbucker with multiple mags on a drum, like James Bond's license plates?
It'd be big but I think it's doable.

After all, somebody made that demo guitar with a wheel of different bridge hums.

Or even a pickup with a lever to move the magnet back a bit from the poles & coils, sort of a vari-Air. Maybe on a dial?
(Not to be confused with Perri-Air™, canned in Druidia).

I want a 3 coil 59 for jazz because I like really fat and syrupy jazz tones.

I also think it's silly that the invader mag set up isn't used with alnico. 3 double thick alnico mags would fill out a PAF bridge like cray.

I love this idea. Preferably active so that it could drive a line-level device, like any commercial multi-band EQ. (15, 31-band etc.)

You could pretty much "dial-in" any pickup.

I would think it would almost have to be active to get the EQ that flat. I've never tried a passive pickup without a dip or a bump in the EQ somewhere.

I'd like to see a wider variety of "rails" pickups. I assume the current stud/screw layout is due mostly to tradition. The conversion of my Ric bass pup to neck humbucker came out great. It's basically a 7.6k El Diablo. (7-point-something-k. Can't remember the exact spec.)
