so for two years now ive had the 81b 85n combo, lately ive been searchin the pickups used by some of my favorite bands with good tone, and from himsa killswitch enagage, shadows fall, and god forbid, i found they all had tha 85 in the bridge so i finally swaped them out with eachother and HOLY ****!!!ive never gotn a better sound, its very articulate and the harmonics are great, and the 81 in the neck freakn rocks too

I've seen a lot of good builders use them like that, Vigier comes to mind (with an SA in the middle).

I don't agree with your taste in bands or good tone but I am glad you are happy with your discovery.
