Wow, ESP jumped on the ridiculous sig bandwagon

Re: Wow, ESP jumped on the ridiculous sig bandwagon

depends on what you get, probably 3500$ as a baseline. ESPs are not cheap

Re: Wow, ESP jumped on the ridiculous sig bandwagon

^^Yep. Side note: Jacksons are actually significantly cheaper in almost all markets, including CS axes ;)

Re: Wow, ESP jumped on the ridiculous sig bandwagon

Their prices definitely seem to have gone down a lot since Fender took them over although it took a while for it to occur. I also saw on JCF that a lot of people have gotten theirs quickly which is amazing lol.

Ehm, No, they haven`t, TBH I have no idea where you´ve been looking... one of the first things that happened after Fender bought Jackson was a 15% price increase across the board, and there have been 2 or 3 more since then IIRC.

Jacksons cost a good clip more than they did 5 years ago, bro. Still cheaper than the imitators, though :beerchug:

Re: Wow, ESP jumped on the ridiculous sig bandwagon

I don't think I could ever justify paying more for a guitar than I paid for my car

I'd sell my house, my wife and children, and one kidney for Billy G's Pearly Gates. Probably still wouldn't be enough....

As for that guitar - 9k? Well, that'll take the heat off of Gibson for a bit.

Didn't really know about the custom prices, just always remember everyone saying they were retarded lol. I know the DXMG used to be like 380$ now it's almost 550$ yipes lol, it was alder back then too.

Re: Wow, ESP jumped on the ridiculous sig bandwagon

Yes that price is ridiculous! Give me a soloist anyday over that guitar. Kirk Hammett was good back in the day when he practiced and tried to come up with some good ****. But ever since, (I am trying to be fair here so I will say) Load albums onwards... just plain ol' Kirk predictable!

And about that graphic... How can a couple of cheap Dave Mustaine Deans with all color graphics that look absolutely killer, be thousands of dollars less than the plain white KH OIJA graphic? I don't buy it! Why would they even go about airbrushing that on? It's white and black. It isn't like there is shading and ****! Look at the graphic. LOL! Whatever. Give me a Gibson anyday!

Re: Wow, ESP jumped on the ridiculous sig bandwagon

Well mentioning the Dean guitars they look like someone blew up a tiny image and printed it on an inkjet :laugh2:

Re: Wow, ESP jumped on the ridiculous sig bandwagon

I thought the Ouija board game company disapproved of ESP using this design? Are they getting a cut from this overpriced guitar?

Are they that bad? Alright, so I was getting some tailpiece bolts from local "but not so local" guitar shop, and I saw the Rust In Peace cover on one of the Deans. It looked good to me, however I did not go up and examine it. I really could have not given a crap about the guitar at all but I noticed the VIC graphic and thought it looked good from a few feet away. Anyway, if it is that bad then ok I take back the KILLER GRAPHIC thing , but you can't tell me a plain white OIJA graphic is worth thousands. That is too f'in stupid! LOL!

Re: Wow, ESP jumped on the ridiculous sig bandwagon

Some of the Chinese made Dime graphic guitars were real bad. One of the MANY reasons Dean stopped importing those Chinese made guitars and switched the import graphic guitars to Korean made. Check out that VMNT in person, form your own opinion.

Re: Wow, ESP jumped on the ridiculous sig bandwagon

I'm sorry, but when I think ESP, I think of cheap import guitars. I think of blinged out Les Paul copies with tacky abalone everywhere. I just can't get it in my head that they produce world class custom shop instruments. I'd easily take anything from Jackson over those guys, it amazes me that Jacksons are more inexpensive.

+1! What does ESP stand for anyway? Something like Electric Sound Products? How cheesy is that?

Re: Wow, ESP jumped on the ridiculous sig bandwagon

No... that graphic is actually really nice. I think that people are thinking of the United Abominations graphic on the VMNTX. That's pretty cheesy looking...

WOW! I didn't realize they had a 200 some dollar version of his graphic guitars. So, I will rightfully apologize if I came off beligerant about this. We were talking 2 different DM Dean guitars. However, the RIP version is STILL thousands of dollars less than a plain white graphic!
