I home-scalloped a 70s ibanez lawsuit strat neck when I was about 17. It was pretty rough, but nothing like that.

When I look at the texture of the rosewood all I can think of is Hanky the Christmas poo.

Another funny teenage scalloping incident:

My friend Gary had a double eagle 1pc maple strat neck, and decided to scallop it. Unfortunately, he only had one file size. So I ended up inheriting a perfectly good strat neck with scallops on the 7th and 8th frets only.

the gearhead in me is comming out, but if he replaced the frets, and used light strings with a super light touch, he'd have a nice playing guitar, but it'd be ugly as hell. I really do hope he's got a back up.
