I picked one of these up today at the local guitar shop because I had an amp on layaway there and, being that I bought an Epiphone Valve Special combo, I had to move the credit to another pedal. On a whim I picked on the Maxon CS505 Stereo Chorus from their reissue series. I figured it looked cool, I'm a little interested in chorus sounds as of late, and for $65 it was cheap and the exact amount of credit I had on my account.
I go home and I plug it in and I'm amazed...
But I'm not amazed because it's bow-zowie awesome sounding or has some incredibly cool or inventive thing. There's two knobs, speed and width, and an amazing amount of subtly. I love it. The thing changes the sound in the least obnoxious way possible. It rings, chimes, and moves like water. I've been looking around and I've seen this things go for something like $100+ so I'm really happy I got a great deal on this pedal. If you get a chance, check it out!
