I see you want to turn the argument around a bit, but "technically", I dont see Albert in here dissing Zakk about his "pinch harmonics" and "biker attire".
"Outplay" means alot of things besides just technical ability.

You managed to say Zakk could outplay most of us whom are on the forum...now outplay doesnt mean technical ability when I offer up a legendary example that goes outside of technical ability.
Care to define "outplay" then?And how based on that criteria you know Zakk is much better than a bumch of.people you have never heard play? If its not just technical ability.then what are these other factors?? Maybe some of us are really good at it.

Overall connection to and knowledge of the instrument
Ability to express oneself through said instrument
Achievement of a unique, identifiable and influencing style
On those 3 alone, Id say I could draw a pretty safe suspicion.

Bathing is too risky at this point. I have no idea if water is indeed wet. In order to find out, we will all have to form a committee and come up with a list of criteria that we can all agree upon. A concensus in this matter just wont do.

zakk wylde is a guy like malmsteen and michael schenker. they play the same **** for at least 20 to 30 years, never bothered in changing styles, really. the thing is, malmsteen intrigues me, michael schenker entices me, and zakk wylde bores me. can zakk wylde play faster and to more pinch harmonics in a second than those 2 combined? Perhaps/sure. but I don't care. I don't care for him or his playing or his style. I used to, but he became a drunk crazed boring playing. That 'ode to dime' is just so...fuqin... BORING. into the arena is just much more fun.

Zakk re-invented himself several years ago with the Pride and Glory stuff. That country chicken pickin / southern rock thang. Some of his best stuff, imo. Zakk does indeed do a bit more than pinch harmonics.

Let`s see he`s done the hard rock thing with Ozzy, the southern rock Pride and Glory , a couple acoustic cds , metal with Black Label , am I missing anything? Love em or hate em Zakk is one hell of a guitar player.

Also plays a bit of piano as well. The whole "schtick" or whatever is one thing but, truth is Zakk can flat-out play and I personally love him. Probably my favorite guitarist ever. The solo from "No More Tears" is the whole reason that I even picked up a guitar and listening to it gives me chills to this day. His new book is ****ing hilarious as well.

I love his playing for sure, but I'm not a fan of his tone, and his collaborations with Rob Zombie is ok at most.

I've seen Zakk play with Ozzy in 2002. It was a great show. I own all the Ozzy albums where Zakk plays. I air guitar to some songs. He's not one of my favorite players, but he can play, and he's more versatile than you'd think. I take no issue about how he chooses to dress. Seems like a good guy.

So In summary Zakk Wylde doesn't have a Signature Tele, & His Image is despised by some Forum Members, but what he lacks in Image he makes up for in his ability to outplay everyone on the forum. I think that's it .....right? K I'm going to bed now....
