I scored a TC Vintage Overdrive pedal last week like new for only $90. I have been very fond of my Maxon OD820 for a long time so I wasn't sure if I'd like this one as much. I guess they stopped making these which is a shame because it has a very high quality sound. It's pretty much a tube screamer type overdrive. There's not a lot of gain, similar to a T-Rex Alberta. There are a LOT of these kinds of pedals on the market and I have tried most of them, but this one is really impressive. It's very agreeable with different amps, the mid spike is not as prominent, but still there, great clarity, warmth, and a really great sound. I personally think it's better than most of the other boutique type screamers out there.
The Dual Distortion is pretty much the same except more gain. It's very versatile and sounds awesome. I was able to get one for only $85... more info later... lunch break is over...
