Wow... this strat IS a bueaty!!!

Re: Wow... this strat IS a bueaty!!!

yeah, if someone liked the looks of that guitar, I'd say take a look at the American Deluxe strat - it comes in Black/ gold pickguard / rosewood neck with abalone dots for about $1000.
of course, it won't have the figured neck, which is pretty nice on that one

For myself, I think I'd have to be convinced on the issue of noiseless pickups after trying the last attempt Fender made.

and I agree that the black/ gold combo looks nice on that ax, but it's such a different look from a traditional strat that it takes getting used to ...

dont flame me but i really dislike the look of that thing... you can do a lot better for the money imo

Re: Wow... this strat IS a bueaty!!!

That flamed maple is astounding!! I don't like strats, but it'd make for a good table leg.

Re: Wow... this strat IS a bueaty!!!

I paid $1600 for this and I'd much rather have it.

I agree!!

Thanks a bunch! I noticed you have both PG and 59 combos. Which is your fav in a LP? I have a Studio that I'm finally going to switch out and I'm stuck between the two.

I like complexity, clarity and a clear, articulate high end. I play Zepp, ZZ Top, GnR, and classic rock stuff through Marshalls. I hate muddy tone.

Sorry if you've told me before, just want as many opinions as possible. Never used SD and don't want to be turned off right away.

Well, I do have both of those, but I don't have any 59's in a LP. I have those in a Schecter Tele. I do however have two friends that have 59's in their LP's. I absolutely love 59's in a LP. The only reason I haven't thrown any in any of mine is cause mine are gold covered. Anyways, I actually prefer the 59's over the PG's...but that's just me. They're just so much more fuller. Don't get me wrong, the PG's rule as well.....but there's just somethin bout the 59's that I adore. They are super full!! I know I really didn't answer your question, but I have a slight buzz...oops.

That sure is a purdy one you got there bro!!

..

I'd go that route myself except different color. The newer American Deluxe's, I believe, have the same C-shaped neck like the CS, but the maple woods used for the CS neck sure are nice looking. I wonder how much the different grain/type of wood makes a difference in tone?
Those 50th anniversary model necks are nice looking, too.
